recumbents, velomobiles. streamliners.
They come as bikes trikes and quad cycles. (Current world record for human powered transport see last link.)

There are recumbents and have many variations CLWB,(compact long wheel base) SWB,(short wheel base) LWB,( long wheel base) Low rider, High Racer , Uss (under the seat steering) *** (above the seat steering) and then you have the ultimate fun machine in a Trike. Most are available in Tandem style.
Except for the clwb I own each of the others and the reason I say this is they all ride different and have a different purpose.

Recumbant bikes. Expensive but fun. A lot easier on you butt and back.
