the pizza isn't going to hurt the dog so don't worry about that.
you can always train the dog not to jump up but that never works. Some things like vinegar smeared on the edge of a counter will keep a dog down.(edit: I just realized the person before me said the exact smae thinng about the vinegar whoops) For the most part try to leave food where your dog won't get it. Also have a little spray bottle of water around so if you see your dog jumping up to grab something off a table or counter give them a little squirt, they'll retreat immediatly and ifthey don't give them another little squirt and a firm "No"

You might want to put a little bowl of vinegar in different places on the counter and when you go out just use a Kleenex and smear alittle on the edge of the counter all around it and your dog will soon not want to go near the counter.
Try to put all food away if possable
Good luck

Put away the left overs in the oven, or further back on the counter. Now that its eatin, just laugh at it dude.
Don't punish the dog, and share with the dog from now on

Next time and in the future... Just eat the entire pizza or share with him as you eat since you know how much he loves it... Great for bonding purposes... lol

Next time buy two pizzas. One for you and one for the dog.
Its only fair.
Really, its just one of those things. The dog doesnt know any better. Next time just kinda make certain you dont leave your food where he can get it. Because if its out he will get it.

the best way to get him to stop is to catch him at it and tell him no . I tell people that you cant discipline him after the fact cause he doesn't know what he did wrong. I have a 7 year old female lab mix that sometimes will take food off of the table (i know i need to work on it some more) but when i tell her no she backs a way. it will take more than one time to get him to stop consistency is the key

My lab has pulled off pizzas, cookies, birthday cake, you name it off the counter. Now, everything goes in the pantry until she figures out how to open the door!

From next time when you eat something give to your dog also. Otherwise you give your food to your dog and you eat his food.
