I thought Jesus was put in a tomb, and rose from the dead. How can stay find his bones, if we can't find Bin Laden?

Yes, two chests that supposedly contain the words "Jesus" and "Mary Magdalene". The documentary, produced by James Cameron, will air on the Discovery Channel. It is being disputed by religious leaders.

Nobody found the bones of Jesus Christ.

Several years ago, in a different section of Jerusalem, some archaeologists dug up a family tomb, which seems to date back to the first century. There are several family names inscribed on the ossuraries (bone boxes), which have been translated (some say mistranslated) as Mary (Miryam), Yosef, and Yeshua. At least one Hollywood person is trying to make a bizillion dollars with a movie (pseudo-documentary) about finding "Jesus' family's crypt". The claims are wild, but mostly just spin for the purpose of making $$$$$$.

Now, we ALL KNOW that NOBODY in Hollywood would EVER twist a story just to make MONEY, right?

Ha ha. As if!

Well, I think that you will hear that Yeshua was a common name. That is the transliteration of the Aramaic way to pronounce his name.

It was a common name, in case you haven't heard, as were the other names of those that they found occupying the tomb. So they could have simply been other people with coinciding names.

It is important to know that the Jewish hierarchy wanted to discredit the ressurection of Jesus Christ. If he were living in Nazareth, as the story goes, they would have abducted him in order to tell the Christians, " Hey, here he is, now be quiet." But they could not.

So the story about him being around and raising a child with Mary Magdeline does not make any sense. Even the Jews that remain unmoved by the testimony of the Messiah and thus stayed Jews and not turned into Christians would have seen to it that Jesus was not dead ( somehow) .

Your info is incorrect.

That is a false claim started by Hollywood Director James Cameron for publicity. The fact that this is being discussed is giving James publicity which is fulfilling the purpose of this false claim. The evidence against it is much stronger. The name Jesus was very common back in those days. So it is a very high chance that it would be another Jesus (not Jesus Christ). Plus, Archaeologists disagree with this false claim.

I'm sure they think that or think they might think that or have no clue or..........Right. Now all they have to do is prove those bones don't belong to any one of the other thousands of Jews that the Romans crucified during the same period who had the same very common names. Another case of jumping to conclusions like VonDonigan and "Chariots Of The Gods". And what does that have to do with Bin Laden?

They found the bones of a person named Jesus and a woman called Mary. Both names were common in the times the Jesus Christians base their Theories on.

Not true. Tomb know to be the one Jesus was in is empty! People will always be trying to come up with ways to discredit anything that has to do with Jesus Christ! Know the truth and do not let these things bother you.

That's what the headline made it out to be. I read probably the same article as you or one close to it, and I liked how the guy said, "All the names found carved in the stone were very popular names at the time", and "It probably wasn't the Christ". You wouldn't know that unless you read to the very end of the article. Man o Man wouldn't the atheist, and Muslin's, Buddhist, etc just love it if it were true. Sorry to disappoint them, but it will never happen. They are so focused on disproving Christ that they will die and be judged as fools instead of being a legend in their own mind.

They didn't, have you not learned by now, that over the past 4 years since Mel Gipsons "passion of the Christ" that mant many people are trying out of hatred and biased from the left to dis-prove Christ so to eliminate our involvement in politics, the left wants to destroy the Church and convert this nation into a secular only nationo that they can convert this country into a communist country, This latest attempt by the left leaning Holllywood producers to discredit Christ by fabricating a bunch of evidence to try to destroy the faith is just the latest in numerous attempts to do so, just like The davinci code last year and the Gospel of Judas also discovered last year and Brain Flemmings "The God who wasn't there", coicidence? no! Christianity is under attack, and also CNN news two hour long special last night about what is a christian, trying to put christians in a bad light, and the History channels series on the Bible, all done from secular points of view and very little to now Christian points of view on them, and what they did show from a Christian point of view was taken out of context and or down played.
