There is this girl in my class who was bullying me, so I asked my chemistry teacher to have her moved to a different seat, he moved me to a different seat, but that's okay. I am also planning
to ask my english teacher to move her to a different seat also. When she threatened to beat
me up because I wouldn't give her MY umbrella,
I told one of the staff in the lunchroom. The lady talked to the girl and she told me that if the girl said something else to me again, she wanted me to go to her. Am I doing the right thing?

Absolutely.

By telling your teachers and other staff, they will be on alert to watch for inappropriate behavior, and to prevent its escalation.

Can you try to have other friends stick with you when you go to lunch so this other girl can't easily catch you alone? Perhaps if you do that for awhile in addition to having created some separation in classes, she'll get tired of hassling you. Unfortunately, she will probably either find another victim or she'll get more blatant or sneaky in bothering you. Keep your eyes open, and have other friends on alert to keep a watch as well. Good luck.

I would say YES!! If you give into her now, she will make more and more demands. If this doesn't work, I would involve your parents. By the way, I would ask to be moved in English instead of asking your teacher to move another person. I think that is asking for trouble and by being willing to move, you are showing you are willing to avoid any conflict. Hopes this helps.

You have two very good answers in the first two answers.

I cannot add anymore, except to say keep avoiding that kind of trouble.

Maybe the other girl is jealous of you. I think you should try to ignore her, but if she threatens you again, get your parents to call the police. It is illegal to threaten people.
