How could his death have taken care of our sins if it was only temporary?

Oh and by the way, what was the big sacrifice? Many many people have suffered far worse than he.

Because "Jesus Had A Bad Weekend For Your Sins" didn't play well with the marketing department.

Jesus died for our sins. He is the blood sacrifice that God requires for the forgiveness of our sins. He became our sins while on the cross. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

He was able to come back to life by the power of the Holy Spirit, who is the person that lives within a Christian' body, to guide them and raise them from death. Just as He raised Jesus. Jesus sent The Holy Spirit here when He left the earth.

The big sacrifice was that although Jesus is God's only begotten Son. Jesus came to the earth as God in the flesh. God came down from Heaven as the man Jesus and took our place for our sins. He was qualified to do this because He is sinless and we are not.

No one else who has ever suffered death has been completely separated from God the way that Jesus was. God had to forsake Him while He was on the cross, at His death, because Jesus became the sins of the whole world. God says that sin cannot enter Heaven.

Jesus death is a victory over sin, disease and death, for all who will choose Him.

He came back to life because that was what the Father God wanted. His sacrifice was what God required for all mankind's sins to be forgiven. Sure his being beaten and crucified were not all that extraordinary by itself but he suffered many more things that were not visible or obvious. Every disease ever known and will be known to man were on his body and every possible curse was on him. God loves every person unconditionally no matter how they feel about him or how they live their life but while Jesus hung on the cross he became sin. God hates sin so he hated his own son Jesus while he was on the cross and that's something nobody else has ever gone through. He went through much more pain on the cross than any person that ever lived. All the pain and suffering in the world does not compare to how much Jesus suffered on the cross for all of us.

He was resurrected to show Gods power and to fullfill prophecy.

A sacrifice is a sacrifice no matter what comes after. If I volunteer to clean out your garage while youre at the hospital, then that is a sacrifice I make to do your work and help you. The fact that I have time in the future doesnt negate what I did for you. Likewise with Jesus.

And you have got to be joking with that last line right? Ok, lets play a game for a moment, its called "you get to be Jesus." You are told by the person whom you most love and respect in this life that you should go preach to people that arent going to listen to you and reject you, and you are going to have to suffer and die one of the worst and most painful ways to die even though DIDNT DO ANYTHING WRONG. All so forgiveness can be given potentially to even the guy driving the stake through your hand or whipping you!

That is sacrifice! And yes crucifixion is one the worst ways to die. Jesus was beaten, spit on, mocked, had a thorns shoved on his head, hit with a stick, flogged (beaten with a whip made of broken glass and hooks) made a public spectacle, forced to carry his own cross to the place of his death. Had nails shoved through him to hold him to a piece of wood, and then sit up there and suffer for 9 some hours? All when he DIDNT DESERVE IT TO BEGIN WITH!

Sorry you were saying something about how it wasnt that bad?

You are incorrect on all counts. No one suffered more than Christ. He was beaten until pieces of underlying organs were exposed. The Word says "more than ANY man." He was a piece of unrecognizable "raw meat" - His beard was plucked out by the roots and a crown of thorns pushed down on His head, the 2 inch long thorns embedding into the skull. He, who was sinless God, knew what it was to become sin (the weight of the whole worlds sin). He knew what it was to feel the separation of the Father - for a Holy Father could not look upon sin. We did not know what it was like to be "sinless" and then have the weight of sin descend upon us - but Christ did. He suffered physically, spiritually, emotionally - to pay YOUR debt. Then He rose the third day to "validate" that sacrifice - otherwise He would have just been another good man dead in His tomb. But He was NOT just another man - He was GOD --- and THAT is why His blood could pay for your sin.

Wow, not a big sacrifice?

He did nothing wrong. He was perfect. He was betrayed by his own. He was love. He healed. He did not deserve what he received.

How could his death have taken care of our sins? Could the shedding of your blood wipe out wickedness and sin from years ago and years to come?

It wasn't temporary. He didn't come back to life, he returned to where he came from.

God Bless

All of Gods ways are just. When we read the laws given to moses their was like for like, eg eye for eye, arm for arm, life for life.
Jesus gave his earthly perfect body to buy back waht Adam lost. Adeazm gave us sin and death and passed that on to all humans.

Jesus died a perfect human as a corresponding ransom to equal the life that Adam lost.

He was raised a life giving spirit not as a human. He entered heaven to present his life to God no longer to return to earth as a human because that would be taking back what he gave up

Besides life as a human he gave up the right to father a perfect human race bu not marrying.

Saint: Simply, because the resurrection of Jesus Christ ensures Christians of a relationship with God, the Father, and He sends the Holy Spirit to them to enable this relationship. He, Jesus, serves as a High Priest, making intercession for His Christian people.

He defeated death! Satan brought sin into the world through Adam and Eve. Before they sinned by disobeying, death was not part of their life. The curse upon them spoke of in Genesis was death instead of eternal life.

By dying (the curse of sin = death) Jesus took on all sin. By rising on the 3rd day fully alive again, he defeats death and still lives eternally. He offers this to everyone who will accept his gift of salvation. Only he can offer this gift, as only he died and rose again defeating death.

He sits at the right hand of God our Father to act as our High Priest, making intercession for us. That is why He came back.

The sacrifice was that our sins were placed upon Him and His righteousness was placed upon us... so that we could stand before God guiltless and sinless.

He was the only one qualified to bear our sins because He was the only sinless life.
