how do i scan something and send it to my friends?

Place picture on scanner, Start>All Programs>Accesories>Paint.
When in Paint, go to File>From Scanner or camera. Should give you your scanner/options, now scan the picture in. When you have scanned it, "Save As" ensure you save as .jpeg, this is a compressed format, your friends will thank you....Good plan to note where you saved it!!!
Now, open your E-Mail, select "New" (new email message). Enter your friends e-mail in the "To" box. You will see a Paper-Clip as one of the tools, this is to attach files (like your pic). Click here, do as you are told...As Subject...My Piccy... then Send

Open up your printer program for scaning.Select scan and email if your's has that.Put what ever your scaning under printer cover and select scan,or scan preview,to see how it look's .Then if ok you scan it and it goe's to your scan program on pc.You select it from there and add to document or add to file, or add to email.Depend's on what type printer scaner you have.Need to just sit there one dat and learn how to operate it,before you need it.Push button's on it can't hurt it.Only way to learn is thru mistake's.Good luck with it.
