I am playing my Doom 3, or Trainz Railroad simulator, Grand theft auto Vice city, and a few other games. My computer Is compleetly able to run theese games...the specs pass. However some games wont do this...such as my sims 2, or sims 2 pets. What is causing this...and how can I fix it.

I was thinking of formating the hard drive and putting a fresh windows in it, but I really dont want to go through the hassle

Bad code, drivers, incompatible dll's, etc...
Just because you pass spec, doesn't guarantee everything. If you have 60 tasks in the background, you're hosed.

Well im sorry to say but there really NO WAY to fix it , unless you re-install windows , NOT the games. Windows is actually causing the problems
