Athiests, at least the ones I've met, have no inner calling to convert those around them. Many Christains, on the other hand, do have this calling, whether it is installed by Church or Bible or anything else. As such, there are generally more Christains attempting to convert others than athiests.

I wouldn't exactly call it "preaching", but a lot of atheists around here are prone toward launching into drawn-out explanations of why their atheism is superior to my belief. It makes for some interesting conversations. However, as a Catholic, I'm preached to far more often by Fundamentalists, many of whom feel some kind of need to bash Catholicism. At least the atheists don't go around referring to the Roman Catholic Church as "the Great Whore of Babylon", like the local Fundamentalists do.

In actual life?
Everyday. Everyday I listen to how I am wrong. Everyday I see on TV a reference to cavemen and how the earth is millions of years old. (and they say it as fact, not theory). Everyday I am bombarded by insults and snickers and preached to on how my God is not all powerful or he would save our butts right now.
Everyday I am preached to, pressured by, see the influences of and am talked about by ATHEISTS< NON BELIEVERS<
I am also happy to report I have quite a few atheist, Mormon and Buddhist FRIENDS that talk civilly and respectfully to me and others. We have had some very interesting discussions and we all learn from it.
God Bless

maybe once a year a witness or mormon may talk to me on the street, but no big deal, they are always polite about it. no real preaching, just talking, same with my atheist friends.
People are much nicer in person than online.

I listen to at least 1000 atheists before I hear a Christian speak up. Yet us Christians are blamed for "preaching".

It seems that all the Atheists do here is preach. How right they are, how smart they are, how enlightened they are.BLAH BLAH BLAH. Very rarely does anyone preach to me IRL., besides in services. Thanks for asking, but your atheist assumption is wrong again.

At least four people I've worked with (past and present) were openly anti religious atheists.
