Planetory position in horoscope, is coded language of the universe. It shows what are your karmic debts for this birth.
Planets themselves dont do anything...it is just symbolic to say that Saturn is doing this or Rahu doing that
It indicates that we did bad in our last birth...and are going to reap now.
Doing counter deeds (like doing good things helping donations to poor etc)...in fact weakens the force of our bad karma...and this process is called satisfying the planets by astrologer
Those on the spiritual path, who have progressed a lot..are away from the bad effects of planets (read our own bad deeds of past)

man is not a puppet ,but just as much man also is not an island
think of the plannets as if they were a festival ,you dont have to go ,but you also may be the organisers child so you have to ,yet have freewill even so
we all have freewill to chose our own paths sure a high /low has little choice in the seasons or outside influence but we can take steps that correct the negative or positive fall out or benifit
fate is a delusion with out the means to do the works
the planets are no more than universal indicaters that we can let over rule freewill or not.
no we are not at the ''hands '' of fate nor the planets there are teachings or a a program we ignore or as slaves chose to obey or use or ignore

Human being is puppet in the hands of God. But in that too God has given him freedom to choose & work. If he works from the bottom of the heart ,upto the last limit he achieves what he wants to get.

You misunderstand the as above, so below view. You have been listening to people that do not know what they are talking about. Finding the truth of things is a very lonely quest, as far as I can see very few do.

I suggest you stop reading your "horoscope". You see there is a reason why they call it "horror" scope, and take you life in your own hands!
let me scare you a little bit! and ask you this question...
You wouldn't read a "happy scope" would you?
What about a "truth scope"?
