You can take anti-anxiety medication which you can get from your doctor. Drinking really won't help and could make your situation worse. Many people who get panic attacks wear a rubber band or elastic around their wrist as snapping it can help some people to, pardon the pun, snap out of it when a panic attack begins.

Go see a psych and get xanax to use when needed for panic. It's a life saver let me tell ya! Don't drink, it only will make your panic rebound worse or eventually turn you into an alcoholic. Go see a psych!

Good luck,
Tori

p.s. All that natural crap doesn't work - trust me I've had panic disorder for 12 yrs and have tried everything, save your money!

I have suffered with these horrible attack for far too long. I am not on meds for them I see your not. Is there a reason? It really will work wonders for you. I didnt wanna go on them but I am glad I did.
But now when I feel an attack getting ready to HIT I will just remind myself ... its all in my mind and I am OK and nothing "BAD" is going to happen. And i will take deep breaths and "try" to relax myself.
Or sometimes i will just keep busy. That helps a lot also.

Good Luck .. I know they are no fun

Sometimes the only way to stop them is with medication from your Doc, sometimes its with behavior therapy methods. You need to see a professional first. God Bless, you are not alone!!
