i'm 17 and my boyfriend is 13. in may he'll be 14 and i'll be 18. the guy knows things about sex that i had no clue on, and vice versa. he is more mature than all of the guys i've dated which have always been either four or five years OLDER than me. his mom adores me but my mom hates that i like him and says of course he likes me cuz i'm in high school. but when i was in junior high i dated a high schooler for a year and the last thing i thought about was that. i didn't go around bragging that my significant other was older than me, i mean c'mon! i don't want to be with anyone else. period. this guy drives me crazy; he says that he's never had it this bad for any other girl. i love him so much and i don't want to lose him. what's your take on this? there's only laws in KS about having sex, not dating, right?? that's what i tried to tell my mom but she turns everything into an arguement complete with screaming and cussing. i hate fighting with my mom, i love my boyfriend. please help!

Age of consent in Kansas is 16, you would have two years to wait. There's no law against dating anyone but in some jurisdictions it is possible for a parent or legal guardian to file a restraining order prohibiting you from having ANY contact with a dependent minor. That would be up to his parents, not your mom.
I strongly suggest 1) that you consult a competent family law attorney concerning your circumstances and 2) that you really consider whether you can wait two years to have sex—that's no sex until you are 20. It is a felony, if it comes to that you can seriously do jail time. Find out the facts and make up your own mind.

You state that the laws only apply to sex not dating, but you also start off with how much he knows about sex. I seriously doubt you could or would keep this relationship completely non-sexual for the few years it would take for him to be of the age of consent. The difference in your ages is enough that it could set you up for sexual abuse charges (do you really want to spend life as a registered sex offender because of a guy you are so hot for?) If the two of you are meant to be together than it can wait...if it can't wait then it is just hormones. At your age this is not just a bad decision or high school breakup that could result, it is a lifetime felony record...it is your future you are gambling with.

ok. You improve up first and then mess with adult men. particularly ones that are having toddlers. you have to be matured adequate to have a boyfriend like that, cos that ain't a kiddy's thiing. also. once you bypass 16 you're not any more a baby anymore, you need to date whoever you opt for. Legally. yet you're nevertheless a toddler. a minimum of strongly sound like one.
