This just means the baby dropped down to get ready to travel down the birthing canal. Yes she could go into labor any time, but that doesn't mean the baby is just going to fall out of her. There will be signs that her labor is starting and you will all have time to make it to the hospital. Go ahead and try to talk to her and see if she'll explain more to you. You might also hear about a mucus plug, which is just like a big ball of snot that comes out before the baby is born. Usually you lose it up to a week before you deliever. For me it was 2 days i think after I lost it that i had my baby. Good luck!

It means that the baby has dropped down into the birthing position and that the baby is getting ready to be born shortly.
This could still be weeks from now...but the baby is in the position so when labor starts baby is already in the position to come out.

This simply means your Mother is getting ready to have the baby. Her labor may start in the next few days, it is nothing to be alarmed about, as it seems that your Mother has everything under control. Just try to be very helpful at this time and look forward to the birth of the new baby. Good luck and grats!!

At any age, "baby dropped" means the baby is low in the womb, ready to be born. This happens about a week or two before the baby is born, if I remember correctly. It is TOTALLY NORMAL.
Congratulations !!

I don't think there are many risks if that's what you are concerned about. The baby won't have many risks, considering that it it near full term or near it's due date. As long as your mom has had pre-natal care, then her and the baby should be just fine. Be prepared for another brother/sister! Congrats to you!
