Have you had a breast reduction?

I am hoping to have one this summer, and I have been researching them since 8th grade...I'm just curious, if you knew know what you didn't know then, would you still do it? why or why not?

I had one done in Feb 2006 and my only regret is that I wish I got it done sooner! I have absolutely ZERO regrets about going through surgery. My back neck and shoulder pain, that I had up until Feb 2006 daily, are GONE.

This surgery has the best response from patients with regards to happiness with the surgery. You will LOVE your new self! Just be aware that you shouldn't show your scars to the sun until after they have whitened or they will turn permanently red. After your incisions close you can start using lightening lotions and creams like Mederma and ScarGuard to lighten and soften your scars. They can take up to a year to disappear (One year post op and mine are 95% gone). Final size could also take up to a year, so don't go hog wild on buying bras until one year post op.

The most important thing with recovery is PATIENCE. They may look the same size as they were before surgery for a month or so due to swelling and bruising.
