Not all that claim to beleive the Bible teach a "hell fire" These religions would welcome the hose being turned on hell as this would be a good stepp in getting rid of pagon doctrins and comming closer to what the Bible teache3s that God is love and it is against is very essence to consider such a punishment.

If that one reinforcement was removed, most of the church would crumble into ruin. Continual reinforcement is how people stay indoctrinated in the first place. That's why you have to go to church so often--to stay indoctrinated.

No. Because there will always be a new religion, even if they deny it's a "religion". Communism? Atheism? Paganism? Global Warming? It's all "do as I say or else you are DOOMED!" And the people who have to have an explanation or a fall guy to blame things on need "evil" or the "devil" , they can't just admit: "Ah! I did it because I felt like it."

what is "snake oil?" Hell is a place, not a myth. It isn't "our" power. The power belongs to God and there is still Truth to face and still God to answer to --- shall we all "lie" to make you "comfortable in this life?" Would you not condemn us in the next for not "warning" you of the reality to come? You have been told the truth and what you choose to do with that truth is your own decision and your own responsibility.

For people whom claim that they have all rationality, logic, and intelligence, you seem to be a couple sandwiches short of a picnic on this question. How would you ever debunk God?
Give your head a shake.

Hell is a physical place, very real. It is not about the power of the religious leaders. It is about the power of God of the Bible.
