You can look on your peanut butter lid for the label, and if it has the numbers "2111" on it, that's the kinds that may have salmonella. They've said on the news that the Great Value (In other words, the Wal-Mart brand) and the Peter Pan peanut butter companies have had some jars with salmonella in it.

The Peanut butter that are tainted are the Great Value and the Peter Pan. But they have to have the product code containing "2111".

All of the suspect peanut butter was recalled. Every responsible grocery store, department store, convenience store and street shop would have returned all of their jars of the "bad brands" to the manufacturer.

I'm pretty sure anything you find out there now should be safe.

I believe that it was GV (Great Value), the brand done in Walmart, as well as Peter Pan and Skippy. Pretty much everyone but JIF, Smuckers and the natural stuff was pulled from all of the stores I frequent.

Good luck.
