No, this is an old wive's tale. I think it's because of the rapid generation, once you start to "go gray". People who thought they'd "fixed the problem" by pulling them out just found that they kept coming in.
Good news is that a lot of the hair dyes these days will really cover the gray for up to 7 weeks.

No , it's not true, I've been trying to proove that theory for 10 years or so.
(by pulling out my own grey hair) It's not true in my case, just an old wives tale.

I dont know how many more grows back but I do know that if you pull out a hair it grows back faster and sometimes darker.
