on Excel...?

Question

I want to make a column multiplied by a certain cell, but when i try to ctl+paste, it gives me the next row underneath for both columns

i want
A1*F3
A2*F3
A3*F3
A4*F3

and so on

but i get
A1*F3
A2*F4
A3*F5

when i try to copy and paste the formula

any ideas on how to fix this?

Or click on cell F3. Lok on the top left corner, there will be a box with the cell address in in.
click on it and give the cell a name like fctr
hit enter.

go to the box next to A1 and make it say =A1*fctr

Then do a drag and fill.

Use $F$3 in the formula... That'll keep it from changing when you copy the formula.
