The world is never going to abandon its major religions. Never. As long as there is ANYTHING in this world that is not fully understood and explained, there will be a god of the gaps to explain it. As long as people are not receiving the love they need, on this Earth, in this lifetime, they will continue to imagine that they are receiving it from imaginary deities.
What is happening, though, is that the number of non-believers is increasing. It's not going to get to 100% but it is going up, and that's good enough.

I don't like the term 'apologetics'. To me, it implies that we have something to apologize for. But that's just me and one of my many quirks.
>>but the Christian sites (which I thought would win) ended up only repeating the same arguments over and over!<<
I've said it before and I'll say it again: God doesn't change, He remains a constant. Why would answers be revised over a period of time when God's stance hasn't changed? And I don't like to hear that the God of the OT is not the same God as the NT. Oh, yes He is. The same answers given some 2,000 odd years ago are just as relevant today.
I believe that the atheist/skeptic websites would have an answer for every so called Christian dilemma. Whether or not they are the correct (or winning) answers remains to be seen.
>>...and every serious debate I researched on Jesus, Evolution, Bible Inerrancy, History, and Philosophy was won hands-down by the Atheist/skeptics~!<<
Who determines who wins here? The audience, you or an impartial observer (does such a person exist?)?
I don't believe major religions will be abandoned, in fact we're told in the end times that the anti-christ will give those here something to worship and demand worship of it. Can we live by reason alone? According to most non-believers, they think we already are. And if we do, that's a scary thought for me. I don't want secular humanists determining whether or not I have 'quality of life' and whether or not the plug should be pulled on it. Yikes!
Have a great day!

I must tell you that Christianity is not a religion. Christians have a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ.
Religion man's way of controlling other people with rules and doctrines and trying to please their gods with traditions and rituals.
Jesus is God's way of reaching down to man with His love and grace.
We have been given the free will to choose. Everyone has belief and faith in something, whether it is God, them self or another person.
As a Christian, I am unable to claim anything for you. I am not able to prove God. Atheists are not able to prove that there is no God.
Some choose to believe that their thoughts, their magnificently complex bodies and their intricately yet planned existence comes from nothing.
I choose to believe that my Lord and my God is my creator. That He is the reason for everything that is here. That He loves me, just as I am. That He sacrificed the life of His one and only begotten Son, so that I can live forever, forgiven, with Him. This blessed relatonship with Him is what I have chosen.

try the following links
Apologetics Press was founded by scientists with PhD's in areas like neurology, medicine, and microbiology. It has some good articles about creation vs. evolution, alleged discrepancies in the Bible, and christian evidences.
Bible.ca has some good resources on a variety of subjects. Check out the evidence against evolution.

If Evolution is so great and Creationism doesn't mean anything, how come Ipods don't grow on trees.
Maybe Darwin's a little weak in the knees.
Evolution is very slow and creationism gives Microwave ovens, Autos, air conditioning, HDTV and the Universe.
I mean if the Universe, complex as it is, can happen randomly, so can a Marshall stack.
But it don't.

You have sided with the atheist arguments because they fit your philosophy better. In the end all atheists have are doubts, nothing more. And I have a debate on tape with William Craig and some atheist, Dr. Craig schooled him!
The world has already abandoned God because it is evil, only the church serves God. And the church will never die, only get ascended one day.

religion is about faith, not facts. If you want to believe in god, do that, follow your heart, just don't make religion rule your life or you will go nuts trying to figure out if this or that god cares about every little detail in your life. Use reason to decide who to vote for or ethical choices, but leave religion for metaphysical concerns like life after death.
Your research is not going to overthrow all the religions on the planet, don't worry about it.

Not everyone in the world is abandoning the major religions.
No need for you to worry or solve that problem just yet.

Dear Trogdor,
Shouldn't you be burninating a village nearby instead of asking unanswerable questions in R&S?
