In the Middle Ages, the rich were the fat ones--they could afford to eat. Now, the rich are the thin ones--they can afford to eat well.

Does our country (USA) really care about the health of fat people, or are we simply punishing them for not conforming to society's image of proper beauty? We mutilate their bodily organs until they conform to the image of proper beauty. We don't have surgery for people who are too skinny. We don't mutilate their organs so they will gain weight.

i think that its just different time eras. for some reason, it is now beautiful to be a skeleton, but in the 1600s, it wasnt. but i think obnoxiously thin is no longer in

i think that some people who are poor cant afford to eat and so they are thin too. anyone can be thin. there are also rich fat people. but i do think that society doesnt want to hear about too many rich people who are fat, because most clothes look better on thin people, so if they fit into beautiful clothes then that is part of what makes them more appealing i guess...
