My friends Thomas and Andy will hug me when we are hanging out of school, but in school, they don't even say hi!!! Have you found that some guys are like this?

They dont want to seem like a senstive guy because this could lead to his friends ragging on him. Also he dosnt want to let out to much emotion. Belivev me when i say this "even though he wont hug you in school he still likes you" I have a friend who do this and he is like a brother to me. But i dont think i would really say anything about it because it may come out wrong and it could mak eit really aqward bewteen you. But if its really bothering you, i would suggest to talk to him priavtly and just ask him whats up about it. I hope I have helped

Some guys are shy in public, or they just don't want to risk the fact that hugging you might give the wrong idea to others.

because they dont want to loose the GUY rep they have...when in reality they are just being stupid, my guy friends are forever hugging in school and out of school i guess its just the environment that they are in...or they are just afraid of what people will think if they see them hugging a girl in school

they don't want it to seem like they like you as more than a friend. in my school, the guys in my class talk only to the popular stuck-up chicks, but out of school they see that i'm down to earth and like talking with me. even flirting. just don't get to worked up over it

They dont want to be seen as showing emotion its bad for their reps you know. Its not MANLY to hug or thats what they think in their minds anyways.

yes!!! on of my best guy friends will never hug me at school, but he will talk to me. my boyfriend always hugs me. once we both got detention for PDA and i couldn't stop laughing the whole time Mrs.Woodward gave it to us! it was afterschool and i had to drive back to get my Calculus book and then i had closed my locker door and my boyfriend ran behind me and hugged me and then i screamed and we started kissing [hehe!] and then Mrs.Woodward goes "MY GOODNESS!" and pulls us apart and goes "DETENTION TOMORROW!!" lol.

There are 3 reasons i could think of
1)They dont want their friends to see you guys get all cuddly or they dont want other girls to think your dating them
2)They like to be alone with you instead of with you around other people
3)They like to look at other girls at school...no offense

because they are too insecure about their small penises and are worried that if they hug you they will get hard but only have a small pointed tent in their pants.
