I'm fifteen, female, about 85 pounds, and am 5'1." I was told that I need to gain weight by my doctor, because I think I used to be anorexic. So we ate lunch at around 2 and at 6:45, I started feeling hungry. I knew we are going to eat dinner at around 8 and even though my mind told me I could handle a few more hours, my body starting feeling slightly sickened. So I ate an apple just now. But I don't really know if I should be feeling guilty or not. Today, I had: one strawberry pop-tart (210 cals) + 1 glass of 2% milk, one slice of Red Baron pizza (400 cals) + one banana + one apple. Do you think this was too much? We're eating a traditional fried dish for dinner tonight and now I'm feeling like I shouldn't have eaten the apple due to the extra calories. Now I feel like I could have gone the extra two hours without food.

Eating the apple was a good idea. When you begin to feel hungry in the afternoon, which is common, a piece of fruit is the best way to go. Instead of a candy bar or chips, the apple provides natural energy to the body. Listen to your Doctor and eat several small meals or snacks during the day. That's the best way to eat for your digestion, too. Eat a little something every 3 hours or so. That way you stay level and never get really hungry where you'll want to over eat. My wife is very tall and thin and has a hard time keeping weight on. She looks so much better & much healthier when she has a few more pounds on. You are lucky that you don't have to worry about dieting like most people do. Take care of yourself and don't be afraid to eat healthy.
