I run a home daycare and did it last year.
I waited until they ran a special on the plastic eggs...usually walgreens...or the dollar store.
I bought candy and filled them all up...this took for ever!!!
I took brown paper bags and got easter goodies and filled them up. Stuffed animal, toys, whatever was on sale...cheap .99
Then one of us went out side and hide some hard and some easy and some in just plain sight...and gave them each a easter basket...and let them loose. It was crazyness. They were all over the place...and then off course non of them took there shoes off and got mud every where because easter is just not a good weather time!!
But they had so much fun. It was a blast. I planon doing it againthis year too!
Oh and thye each got and individual prize too just so they all had a big something...and didnt fight over who got what...(aka the brown bags)

we have an easter egg hunt at the preschool i work in and my class is 4.
we have all the children bring in 6 (or however many) filled plastic eggs. they can fill them with whatever they choose as long as it is appropriate for the age group.
while the eggs are being hidden the children make bunny ear hats - the bands of papers with cut out bunny ears they attach to the top. this is always a easy but fun craft.
the children go outside and the eggs are hidden pretty well - not super hard but not too many in visible site. we tell the children how many eggs they are allowed to find a piece. this keeps it fair because at 4 they don't take "losing" very well.
it is a lot of fun. hope you have a great time! SD

yes, I did this for all my children. The easiest way is to involve the parents also. A couple days before while the kids are in pre-school or napping, have each parent responsible for 1 dozen eggs to be boiled, colored or store bought plastic eggs work just as well. The night before, have the parents drop off and help hide the eggs outside. That way when the easter egg hunt is going on, they can help their kids who are having trouble finding any. It works well, and everyone has a good time and gets in the the spirit. For food, have it catered, makes it easier, less mess, and no cleanup.

Yes I am only 14 and I love doing that!! They hid it inside or outside if it is a nice day. It is so much fun. All I could tell you is get lots of eggs cause they will never want to stop looking. Trust me I wanted to find more all the time. Make the eggs semi-visible at their eye height or even maybe a little higher or lower..
Good Luck and have LOTS of fun because thats what it is.
Have a nice Easter!

Never done it but seen it on Tv.
all you do is hide the eggs, give the children a little bag or something to carry the eggs in and tell them to go find them, im sure they will love it

if u dont wanna use real eggs get the plastic kind and put candy in each one like jelly beans or m&ms . my grandma used to have them in the back yard up in denver it was so fun. you have 25 kids coming so this probably wont work but my gram would hide each of us our own easter basket wit like toys and candy in it. so u had to find the one wit ur name on it and the eggs at the same time !

Our kids help me to dye normal hard-boiled eggs & decorate them with stickers, and then I hide them around the back yard for them to find.
One of their easter presents last year was gorgeous fluffy bunny baskets to collect their eggs in every year.

Orientaltrading.com.
Buy eggs and fill them with pennies and play tattoos, candies, etc. Place them everywhere. Then line up the kids and start the clock. Each kid should have a basket too.
