I did have the Winzip 9, but I have lost that programme, because I reebooted the computer.

Winzip is free.... just use the 'trial' version. I've had mine for a long time - no problem unzipping files. Also Windows XP has it's own version of unzip.

Unfortunately WINZIP is free for a few times using it. Go to PC magazine and see downloads they are free for a few times and Tucows also is shareware . I have never found freeware for WINZIP sorry but please be careful downloading programs that say they are free and then after using them a few times you find out it never is really free.

Try using 7-zip instead. It's open source and free and handles more than just zip files.
