I have now been getting these headaches about once a week for about 2 months now. At times they are very painful and intense. Are these headaches just the typical migraine or should I be seeking medical help?

It really doesn't matter. If they're bothering you that much, it's probably worth it to take medication regularly to keep them at bay. See your doctor.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
