In case you hadn't noticed, this is open to the public…
All questions appear on the main page and anyone is entitled to click on it and express their opinion. The different categories are not "invitation only." What happened to treating others as you'd like to be treated, loving your neighbor, and turning the other cheek? I am confident that there are very many Christian websites where you can be sure to hear only opinions that are very similar to your own.

Well, I have been reading other opinions. Interesting indeed.
Some people say that atheists have the Right to be here. I suppose that they do. In this country you can say whatever you want about God, even if it is a blasphemy. You are allowed.
Some people say that religion causes wars, the 911, catastrophes, interfere with education, persecute prostitutes, drug addicts, caused the Holocaust, persecuted the Jews, etc, etc. The list is endless.
I never thought of that before. Nevertheless, I must say that all these glorious and wise people seem to forget that the Holocaust was caused by nazis, whose god is Der Fuhrer.
After the Jews, the nazis dedicated to eliminate priests and destroy churches.
About the wars, the WW II was also caused by the nazis and the comunists ( I suppose that you will tell me that comunists are religious too )
About interfering with education, I would like to say that that began with an atheist that eliminated prayers from public schools in the 1960s.
In general, I must say that when human beings have lost moral values ( yes, they are based on religion ) they have a good chance of falling to dictatorship or be oppressed by something like Al quaida, the nazis, or the comunists

Atheists don't have to be here, just as you don't have to be here. Both you and atheists choose to be here. Since it is a public forum, all are welcome, even those who do not think the way you do.
There are many ways of exploring spirituality that have nothing at all to do with the Judeo-Christian concept of "God." To suggest that your view is the only one that belongs in this forum is a bit naive, and were it implemented, it would deprive you of the opportunity of encountering other points of view, which is an experience from which you clearly could profit.

I'm about to ask the same question and I foud your question the same. Instantly, I think that they may be here for a purpose. They might read something that would break they heart and trigger the fear of "what if God is real, then I'm doomed." Even though their lips and their handes touches their keyboards and say that "you Fairy-Tale-Believing people waste your time on sense-less things", actually they finding an answer that wouldtrigger their tears. That's what they were here for.

Well, you are right. But atheists make a "religion" out of their no believing. Yes, it is a contradiction, but people are that way.
They make propaganda and publicity out of their nonbelief in God. Just look what they say here and everywhere about God non existing. They want to stop people from believing in something that doesn't exist, according to them. Why something or someone who doesn't exist ( according to them ) annoys them so much ?
The reasonable thing would be, obviously, to think: "these poor people, believing in that, oh well, they will never learn."
And just leave it that way.
Oh, no. They fight with all their might to stop and block other people's beliefs, making a godless "religion" as bishop Fulton Sheen said once

I'm not an atheist ... but I do know that, every once in a while, the devil sends a messenger to test our faith, or simply to try to rob us of our peace. In this case, an atheist spreading his or her beliefs of disbelief may either be a test or a challenge. I say, let them try their worst. My faith is unshakable, the only person who can take that faith away from me is me. Don't get upset, their words can't hurt us unless we let them. God certainly isn't upset. He'll fight His own battles ... as well as ours. Don't let anyone steal your peace. You might just find out that some of those atheist are looking for answers just like the rest of us. Remember, God works in mysterious ways. It's not beyond His powers to convert even the stubbornnest of people.
Peace
A Christian

We are here because we want to be here. This is a place to discuss religion. There is no law that says we cannot ask questions if we want to. Look up the definition of spirituality. Like most religious people your education is lacking. You do own a dictionary, don't you? Oh that's right, you probably don't own anything but a Bible. Silly, silly me!

Watch the you tube video above for the answer.
Religion concerns me as an atheist ... (i dont believe in any god of deity that man ever invented either) ...why does it conern me? because religion separates communites and divides people... causes wars, and causes suffering all over the world.
Religion was the basis for carrying out attack on the WTC 9/11/2001....
Christianity is like a bad virus, eventually it will die out like ALL the other so called "religions" have done before it... this jesus myth is doomed to failure... hear me? doomed.
All the best with your imaginary jesus character ... or which ever imaginary friend you choose to follow. :-)

And just where do you think Athiests should be? That is not very Christian of you is it? This holier than thou attitude is totally unbecoming and makes me realise that you aren't so different from them after all. What gives you the right to say that? Just because you don't agree with someones views doesn't give you the right to say they don't belong, this makes me realise how Holy Wars have started , because of self righteous indignant people such as yourself!

We are here cause you have screwed society in so many different ways you are even interfering with education, prolonguing stupid ways, persecution of prostitutes, persecution of addicts (all anti drug laws are based on moral christian values) the war on drugs that keeps the gangs and maffia in business and even terrorists cause it keeps the price of drugs high and the drugs therefore profitable. All the ramifications of just that it's your doing. The Holocaust was the culmination of centuries of persecution of the Jews, and even the Pope admitted complicity of the Church.

Because it is repeated in the general question section!
And when it is SHOUTED out:-
Why do atheists have to be here?
We answer!
Why are YOU bothered about Atheists?
Do you have so little faith in YOUR beliefs, that you think we could make a difference?
Or are you yet ANOTHER nasty pretend Christian!
