No. Racing fans in Washington State that live in the house districts where Frank Chopp and Larry Seagraves represent should seek to have them voted out of office when they are up for re-election!
When Greg Biffle and Darrell Waltrip and Richard Petty visited with lawmakers in Washington State to discuss the track proposed by ISC, House Speaker Chopp referred to Richard Petty like this "You mean the guy that got a DUI?" Excuse me? Richard Petty does not touch alcohol. None of his race cars have the Bud Pole Award sticker on them, making them not eligible for the Budweiser Shootout. That is his personal choice.
As for Mr. Seagraves, here is what he said about his opposition to the proposed track. "We don't want those kind of people living in our state. The kind that have junker cars sitting in their front yard." WHAT THE F??? Someone needs to ***** slap this guy to get his out of his old age mentality and join the real world. I'd say 95% of NASCAR fans are middle class with a good paying job, a well off lifestyle and 2 kids (an average). Those kind of people he was referring to are the ones you regularly see on Cops.
Personally, I like the idea of a big time race track being built in Washington State. At the same time, I say screw the attitude filled morons that called themselves New Yorkers who slammed and killed that proposed racetrack on Staten Island. They will always be the largest market in America WITHOUT a big time race track.

Whoa, stop!!!!! No State should boycott any sport because of a comment. This kinder, gentler society has to STOP WHINING ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And would it just be in Washington State, doubt it since they may take a track near you and shut that date down to give it to the Northwest. Then who is going to whine???? NASCAR has gotten way too big to a point that no one seems to be satisfied. Get over it and suck it up... My take is to award Washington state a race and GET OUT OF MEXICO!!!!! NASCAR drivers turning right, well, just aint right.

Why build a new track anywhere? There are already too many races on the schedule. They have already taken away some of the classic short track races and knocked two races a year tracks to one. I would much rather see NASCAR put North Wilkesbourgh back on.

not all people in washington feel that way.if fact most people are excited to have a track.there are people in local goverment trying to stop it.our own governor wants to have one.there are lots of nascar fans in washington and we have alot of local tracks.the only problem is the people in northern washington dont want it around them.but there are several spots being looked at in s.w. washington right now and we are excited for it to come.

THEY ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES THAT THINK THAT WAY!!
PEOPLE FROM THE NORTH AND EVEN SOME FROM THE SOUTH THINK THAT WAY......MOSTLY FOR HOW IT GOT STARTED...
SO WHY SHOULDN'T THEY HAVE A TRACK ...EDUCATE THEM AND SOON THEY WILL LOVE IT AS MUCH AS WE DO

No, bring it to the state so the see what it is and then they won't call the fans names anymore. If they do, they would be calling themself names.
