i have a fine collection of pdf ebooks but, some big name publishers,

one thing i dont like is thats some don't even have simply index systems built in to navigate the daam book..so i have to write the last page number i was on..then flick through the whole book again..

is there some thing i am missing or it just me...i us adobe acrobat

Hello g_playa_gent,

I would imagine that an index set up would have to be set up by the author, or publisher of the e-books. It isn't something automatic that is generated. It's like DVDs that don't have a full menu of other features. It just wasn't created by the publisher.

I was under the impression that Adobe Acrobat has a "Search" text field somewhere, (maybe in the menu) where you can type in what you remember last. I know that you have a page number that you can type in to go directly to where you last were. However, this might be something that needs to be put in too, I guess.
