I am REALLY sensitive to dust and lately from where I take Benedryl a lot, I haven't been able to swallow pills. My throat will clsoe up and all I end up swallowing the water, with the pill still in my mouth. This would occasionally happen, but now all the time. what are some home remedies with fast allergy relief? I've had bad allergies ever since i was in 1st grade. When I get an allergy attack, it hits me good. Any remedies or suggestions? I don't want to go to a doctor and have them prick me 100 times with a needle to see what I am allergic too when I already know. Please help me. I need help now!!!!!

1st, you can buy benadryl in liquid form. May be easier for you. I'd invest in an IONIZER and run that in your room. To keep dust down, it really helps. In order to do the RAST test, where you are pricked about 15 times, to see what you're allergic to, you muct be off of benadryl for 1 whole week - so don't worry...You won't get pricked while benadryl is still inyour system. Wash your linens in hot water and run the iONIZer ( not a deionizer) and you'll feel better. write me if you still need more help. (have info on proper dusting & vacuming etc 2 )

Please see an allergist about this because in the long run, it could be life threatening especially when you said the throat closes up, which is a serious indication that the histamine level in your body has increased and when it has increased chances of an attack or anaphaxysis is high and death can result to be honest . Since you have been taking Benedryl a lot and haven't been able to swallow correctly, you might be allergic to the Benedryl or the Benedryl has possibly resisted because of overuse. Some home remedies you might try is getting a nasal wash, such as SinusRinse, which helps clean the nasal passages and go under steam and nasal decongestants too. Try Claritin-D or Claritin. I would definitely see the allergist to make sure that you are not only allergic to dust but to see if there is anything else that is causing this allergy. I know that going to the doctor is nerveracking, but when it comes down to allergies, it's a life or no life issues to put it nicely, the allergist will give you the right treatment in order for you to control the allergies. I am a gynecologist and I have really bad allergies and as much as I don't like taking allergy shots, I've got to in order to control it. Also, drink a lot of water. Get a HEPA filter and use hypoallergenic products.

Hi! I just went to the allergist for the first time yesterday, I've had allergies since I was little and here I am 26 and finally went! I feel like that this is a HUGE accomplishment b/c I HATE needles and was scared of the skin test! First of all, I've known what I'm allergic to, but found out some other things I am allergic to but I had no idea I was! Also, the allergist might be able to prescribe something that might really really help you out or even come up with the right combination of drugs to help you out! If you don't want to go to the doctor, there are some disolvable anti-histamines out there... I take one called "Pet allergy for People" by NatraBio (I'm allergic to cats and have one!) They also have other allergy remedies specifically for the different allergies. I got it at an all natural food store. Good luck and I really hope you find some relief!

before modern medicine, ventillator were known, sinus problem is healed with this traditional remedy. Put some natural sticky rice wine with few grams of salt on dinner disk. Burn this wine. Use both hands to make a big hole then making a deep breath of warm air through several times. Warmer is better. It works with pure white wine from sticky rice only, no addititives, but this wine is hard to find or not for sale today.

Or brew fermented sticky rice and distill this yellow wine with very low temperature in several hours. The exit pipe often goes through cool water container and connect with a bottle. The output liquid is white wine, water is left behind. If distilling again, higher proof and whiter wine is obtained.

pineapple juice can help reducing swelled throat muscles.

Hepa ultra violet UV air purifier is also good for sinustis.

That's pretty icky, Gina!

A lot of people say honey's good for allergies and other things. I don't really subscribe to that, but I do use it in teas for treating colds and upset stomachs.

Meanwhile, you're going to have to remove the dust from your environment- which you probably know already. Vacuum and dust frequently, use an air cleaner, and use area rugs rather than carpetting the whole floor when you can.

It seems to me that there should be allergy medicines in liquid form too. Try checking into that.

Good luck!

This is a very important and useful report especially for yourself and your precious family. I used to have a serious allergic symptoms but after I switched those household toxic products to safe, non-toxic products all the symptoms (respiraotry allergy, skin problems...) were gone away forever. Taking a reference to this report if you switch your toxic products to safe products not having those toxic chemical ingredients it will help you and your family health real big time! Please do not think that would be a too much work for you to check all the ingredients! That's for you and your family. Even just switching a laundry detergent can affect your health considerably. (Actually I have a few people who survived from cancer by not using those chemical products for their house work, laundry, cleaning, dish washing... anymore, seriously) So if you want you can download the report free without putting in any of your personal information, here:
http://wood.euleesway.com/toxicreport.html
and if there is anybody who you think is using too much chemical (toxic) products or having a serious allergy problem please send this report to them, too.
I hope it will be a big help for you and your family.

You need prescription medications to take care of your allergies and if you are really interested in getting better you will go for allergy testing too.
In the meantime you can get a new pillow, get a hypoallergenic mattress cover and a HEPA air cleaner for your bedroom
