I have hair down to my waist and am thinkin its time to part with it. Maybe locks of love?

Good idea..I am thinking about doing the same.I love my beautiful long hair though. Don't know if I am ready to get rid of it yet. I am 53 and this may be the last time i can have it long.It is thick and healthy and shiny,but my relatives all think i am too old for long hair. But when I do decide to part with it,i will donate to locks of love.l wish you the best of luck.

I'm not sure about the neck ache thing, my hair was never as long as yours, but I DID donate my hair to Locks of Love and I think that is a wonderful idea.
Besides, as we age, shorter (shoulder lengthish) hair is more flattering, I have found. Plus, you'll always have that good feeling that you helped a young girl with cancer feel better about herself.

I have long, thick hair and whenever I wear it in a ponytail, I get the worst headache and neckache. Donating to Locks of Love is a wonderful thing to do when you're ready to part with your long hair.

My hair was never a problem. But I still donate it. Definitely donate it to Locks of Love, I did the same thing and plan on it again this summer.

Id shorten it. actually, i did. I cant stand my hair to be long, my hair is naturally curlly, and I have to continously staighten it to get it the way i want it. It easy to hand, and not as much of a hassal when you got to brush your hair. the shorter your hair the lesstangles it can get. Its got to be horrible when your in the shower and you go to shampoo your hair. that must take forever. About the locks of love organization, that would be great.

i had hair that long befor and
i was so scared it would turn out
good if i cut it short
then i got the nerve to cut it in layers
up to my sholders and now im so
happy with it it makes me look so much older and its
a lot more flattering
if i was u i would go for the short cut
