any easy quick way ... ? such as programs? I can't redownload the programs cause they're huge and I originally dl as a .torrent file, which takes all night with a normal connection, and since I'm overseas in Asia, there are not fast speed reliable connections near me ... I doubt they sell Norton Ghost either, but even if they did, I just want to save 2 programs, not take the entire infected hard drive to the new laptop ...... any hope??

PC2PC. Load it on the computer you want the information from. Plug a DB9 wire from computer to computer and transfer the whole thing.

If you have a DVD burner, you could write files to a DVD and then install on your other PC.

Alternately you can connect the two computers via network or directly with a crossover cable and then put those files in a shared folder so you can access and install to your other PC.

Well, you can try the windows Files and Transfer Wizard - but for programs, I would recommend Aloha Bob. That will transfer programs and it's 'intelligent'.

When I download programs, I usally SAVE them to my computer instead of 'opening' them to install. That way, I have the zip file intact and just drag it to a thumb drive.

If you have a large enough CD then you can save the program files onto the CD and then save them onto the computer you want them on.

Get a USB keychain drive. Copy it onto that and then carry it over to the other computer and copy it there.
