The Albanian Army. Not sure who broke them but the good ol' U S of A supported them while it suited them. Then they classed them as terrorists, just like they did with Saddam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and the Taliban. Familiar pattern emerging?
Incidentally, and of the news we heard about Kosovo here in the UK never seemed to mention the massacres and ethnic cleansing dealt out against the Kosovo Serbians by the KLA, it always painted the Serbs as the big bad wolves

the KLA were local militia and ex croatian army men who formed their own so called army but however quickly ran to the hills during the invasion by allied forces til we had taken control then decreed that they had seen them off across the borders, it realistic terms they were hired guns who were then awarded local army status however a school of ten year olds could of waged a better counter defensive or attack than this so called army and they were armed by anyone who could supply them weapons.
