Right at this moment, a mug of dark roast Columbian latte with a dash of cinnamon. The point? It's the small things and the big things that in combination matter to us. Our children, a beloved pet or a job we really like can all be reasons to get up in the morning. It's easy to throw in the towel. It's braver to go kicking and screaming into that good night, and spiritually speaking, fight the good fight. Laugh more, it confounds your enemies. Do rightly by other people. Make life better for others whenever you can and see how very good you feel about life afterwards. Then think back on the question you just asked..and you will have your answer.

There is nothing worth dying for at this particular time. Which is not to say there is nothing worth putting your life in danger for. There are many instances I might risk my life for. Though I would have to weigh the risk very carefully in most cases. I get very much pleasure from life from my family and friends loved ones and lovers. They are all worth living for. At this stage of my life good health and a decent living is all I need to continue to exist.

In my opinion, I feel that the goal of life is simple. It is to thrive and be happy. None of us had a "choice" in whether or not we were born, but now that we are alive we have the power to either enjoy it or end it. If you find yourself in a situation, you should strive to make the best of it. Increase your happiness. Have fun with things. If you're going to be alive anyways, you might as well have a good time while you're at it. So the purpose of life is to give life a purpose; the goal of life is to enjoy it.

I suppose you could say my motivation for continued existence is to be have as much fun and live life to it's fullest before I die. I would also like to leave a good name for myself when I die, I want to die with honor so that my name shall be remembered. So accomplishing things would also be a motivation for me.

My motivation is to serve God to the best of my abilities. I get plenty out of life, as much as can be expected int his life anyway. Jesus Christ is worth living for. He is also worth dying for which many people have had to do and still do today!

At the moment it's preferable to not continuing. I want to enjoy life, give my wife and kids a good life and maybe do something worthwhile along the way, so that when I'm gasping my last breath I am not thinking "Oh that was a big waste of time, wasn't it?".

"Meaning of life" stuff?

For me, right now, my motivation is to contribute what I can in the ways that I can to make the world a more pallatable place for the aliens who will inevitably take it over.

Also, to raise my daughter to be open minded, loving, responsible, well mannered and strong. If I accomplish one of those, I have done alright.

My children are my motivation. They are worth living for, and they are worth dying for.

Jesus Christ first, middle and last. I have determined to do the will of the Father with the Son of God through the Holy Spirit. Greater is He that is within me, than he that is in the world. He is my reason for living, He is my reason for everything, and He is the reason that death is but a shadowy "door" through which I pass into the next Life with Him. For me to live is Christ and to die is gain (Paul the Apostle). THY will be done (first, middle, and last - from beginning to end and everlasting - in me, to me and through me!).
