If someone really likes you they will be interested in all aspects of your life, good and bad. They will be concerned if you are not well or feeling low and be happy for you when something good happens to you. If someone is just flirting they will not be interested with any of that.

It depends on the scenario - is it a one-time thing, or do you see her often?
If it's a one-time thing, it's hard to say.
If you see her a on a regular basis, and you feel an energy between you, if you catch her looking at you more than just in passing, if she dresses up a little or wears extra makeup when she's around you, she likes you. She is probably shy and waiting for you to make the next move. Only time will tell if a relationship will develop, but one of you will have to make an effort to get it started. Trust your instincts. You will be able to figure out if she's just being friendly or wants to be around you more often. If you think it's more than just flirting, it usually is. You could always play it safe by asking if she wants to go for a cup of coffee or a drink so you two can talk more, it's less heavy than just asking for her number or asking her to dinner right away. It's flirting and liking someone go hand-in-hand!! I think it's the same thing, people flirt because of an attraction.

Well when they are liking you they talk to you alot, but when they are flirting that's a different story.
