Do I steam it or boil it and for how long?

Bok Choi should be steamed, boiled or stir-fried VERY QUICKLY because the leaves are much more delicate than the white stalks. I quite often cut off the leaves and set them aside while I start the stems and I add the leaves at the last minute. I also chop them up and add them to chicken vegetale soup at the end.

Hi Princess,
In the UK we call it Pak Choy but no matter try this .......
If you have a basket steamer the ones you place on your
saucepan brush the cane with dark soy sauce place baby
whole Pak Choy inside season with salt and a good twist
of grated black pepper cover with lid.Cooking time 5 / 6 Min's
While you are waiting you will have time to make the dressing
1 Table spoon each of the following.....
Virgin olive oil
Dark soy sauce
Toasted sesame oil
Oyster sauce
Sweet chilli sauce
Mix these together, then drizzle over your steamed Pak Choy
ps: Its also great in stir fry's just chop and cook

boc choy can be stir fried, on it's own or with other foods. it can also be steamed lightly. it makes an excellent side dish tossed with oyster sauce

You can do both! either way is good. Everytime I cook Sinigang, I put Bok Choy & it boils it. It's delicious & healthy! yummy.....
