Missionaries throughout the world, go to the poorest countires and make people sit through services before feeding them. Since Islam is leading the world in terms of growth, is this the only way for Christians to increase their numbers?? Bribe and coercian.

Is this a Christian thing to do...to prey on the weak?? History says YES!!

I am so upset to hear that Christian missionaries withold food from the hungry until after those poor people have endured their sermon. I saw a documentary about this. How dare they. That is not the love of Christ. Can't they understand that just the mere act of Christians handing a bowl of food to someone is the biggest witness of all? Because it's love. But to make hungry people wait through a sermon for their food is not love. That's abuse- both against the hungry and against Christ's love. That is so wrong. I'm sorry some Christians do this. That really bothers me.

Bob,you're deluded.all the missionaries I realize do no longer do those concerns.they safeguard the unfavorable, build hospitals, faculties, clinics, prepare the youngsters, furnish drugs. And wager what?they do no longer bribe the unfavorable,or stress them to sit down by skill of way of a sermon,or stress them to rework. think of in the previous than you insult the very persons who're doing plenty to help. And no,historic previous does now no longer say valuable.i'm no longer able to distinction what Christians have achieved in the past, even nevertheless it fairly is unbiblical to stress absolutely everyone.

Bob,you are deluded.ALL of the missionaries I know do not do those things. They care for the poor, build hospitals, schools, clinics, teach the children, provide medical care.
And guess what? They do not bribe the poor,or force them to sit through a sermon,or force them to convert.
Think before you insult the very people who are doing so much to help.
And no,history does not say yes.I cannot change what Christians have done in the past, but it is unbiblical to force someone.

Bribery and coercion is "not" a tactic of American Christian missionaries.
Some in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movement have done that to make TV shows, but real missionaries do not bribe.

I don't know where you get your information, but our missionaries ,at least Batpsit ones, don't "bribe" people. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and it is our job to spread the gospel throughout the world; I don't believe islam is leading the world in terms of growth, but if you want to, go ahead. islam is not perfect either, history says yes to that.

Pure drivel. Christians go out of genuine concern for the souls of those they minister to, and out of obedience to Christ, who commanded us "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature..."
The fact is, Christians are the most generous giving people in the world. The biggest non-profit organization in the world is the Salvation Army, founded by the great Christian evangelist William Booth, which helps literally millions of people every year.
I personally gave away over 25% of my net income last year to promote the Gospel, which includes feeding the poor and helping orphans. A friend of mine last year adopted 3 Ethiopian orphans. He tells me how grateful they are every time they see a full plate of food placed before them. I also participate once a month in a free health clinic that also gives away clothing and food.
I really do get tired of the slander of malicious hypocrites that criticize the good works of others when they themselves wouldn't lift a finger to help someone else unless there was something in it for them.

You must be one of those Christian missionaries since you seem to know so much about them in detail?

As old as a salvation 'army' with a 'war' cry,
when bible says Christ is our "peace' already.
What's this "old" is "ready to vanish": Hebrews 8:13.

Yet as new as all those 'save the children' funds,
when the exhoration is to "be no more children",
which is neither of two children in Mt 13 & Rom 9.

So there's not one, but two beasts ment'd in Revelation 13.

Both biblical literalism & human secularism are dead ends.

Unless we "leave the principles" to "go on unto perfection",
http://www.godshew.org/Hebrews7.htm
Unless we leave broad way and narrow mindeadness,
http://www.godshew.org/Best.htm
Unless we let the law be dead testator to establish grace,
http://www.godshew.org/RevelatorySermons1.htm
we'll end up as law law as scape-goats vs dumb-sheep,
on the left and the right sides of awful lawful God on high.

Narrow way gets as sharp as a razor's edge, forcing either
- draw back to perdition (first law of law law); new & dead way
- go on unto perfection (grace is sufficient); new & living way

Merlin movie: the real magic is at the end.
When they turn away from evil, it vanishes.

Our Father, deliver us from 'evil": Mt 6;13
We are delivered from the "law": Rom 7:6.
Connecting biblical dots: homework for children.

Law is "both good and evil"... ends badly.
Discern(Avoid) both good and evil: Heb 5.
http://www.godshew.org/Hebrews6.htm

USE your God given senses:
If it looks kinda Fish-y, and
if it sounds like Horeb-bull, and
if it smells kinda Pew-y, and
if it tastes both Bitter-sweet, and
if if feels like Hell when swallowed,
then it's "law": "both good and evil".

Law is both natural and spiritual.
But it's notably spiritual food poison.

Only what began can end.
His Grace has neither begin nor end.

alot like the forced conversions of christians and zoroastarans when the Islamic armies first swept through the middle east and persia? dont kid yourself, Christian and Muslim history is stained with the blood of innocent people....muslim empires heavily taxing christians to the point of their conversion to islam...gee, Islam must be a real religion of justice....get with program...Christianity and Islam are equally guilty of genocide, forced conversion, slavery, mass murder of civilians, mass rape, kidnapping and converting infants, exploitation, and more horror than a hundered Hitlers....at the Christians are slowly coming to terms with their past, and at least admit it, they at least admit they have done wrong in their past...I have never met a religious muslim who will ever admit to the hidden horror in Islam's history, they live in a constant state of denial....I think its time muslims learn to admit that they too have committed crimes against humanity too, only then will they truly start to come to terms with themselves and learn to live in peace with the rest of the world...and hopefully one day in the distant future...christians and muslims alike will awaken from this forced brainwashing and charachters like Moses, Jesus and Mohammed will all go in the history books as stuff of myth and legens where they truly belong. My friend, you sound very uneducated...you should read more

I guess if you like twisting things to prove your own biased ideas... i'm not saying I agree with anything but the missionaries almost certainly aren't bribing them. why dont you try feeding the hungry in a foreign country then you can talk. but dont insult people trying to spread their beliefs while feeding the less fortunate. its not your place.
