The US has somthing in the range of 10,000 nuclear weapons. but we all go crazy at the fact of North Korea, and Iran having one.

I believe that everyone has a right to defend themselves. And we are denying that to many other countries just because their views are different than ours.

sry i got carried away. forget the last paragraph. i just think that we have 10,000 is overkill. i really dont think they should be allowed in the first place. i mean. look at hiroshima. people are still messed up today because of it. 10,000 seems like too much.

i dont think anyone should have nuclear missiles- but thats just me,

like in the first gulf war, the DoD of the US warned iraq that if it used chemical weapons, it would go nuclear (Baker said it)

so it can be a deterrent

and North korea is using it as a deterrent against US pressure- and it seems to have worked in the latest rounds of negotiation which enabled them to get lots of food back into the country, similarly, iran claims its right to nuclear power for civilian use, but the US thinks otherwise- even so they would claim that they need it in self defence. Iran's worst enemy israel holds nuclear weapons and they appear to want to do whatever it takes to "defend themselves" although they give that word a very ridiculously wide meaning

the only country to have ever used nukes on people is the USA,

the USA and Russia also narrowly missed WW3 with the cuban missile crisis

i think the US should show good will and reduce its stockpiles- your right -there is no logic in stockpilling these weapons as if we were to use them all we would destroy the world 1000s of times over

but look at india and pakistan, both have nukes and have used them as tokens to work for peace as a nuclear war will wipe out both of them.

i guess you didnt single out russia because they have been insisting on negotiations rather than economic and military options- which punish the people of countries rather than the political figures

You are confusing the right of a country to defend its self with a country's desire to destroy and obliterate an other country because they don't like their politics, religions or their perceived injustices.

We may and do have different view than other countries...like North Korea and Iran. But unlike those counties we haven't threatened any country with extinction. Exactly which country(s) are threatening North Korea and Iran with total oblivion to the extent that they require nukes to defend themselves?

ANSWER.........NONE. And that is why we "go crazy" when nations that advocate wiping out entire countries try to obtain or develop nuclear weapons. Why is this simple and obvious concept beyond your comprehension?

Hm, You should repeat those first two lines to your self again and let it soak in.
NORTH KOREA... and IRAN....
Consider the sources.
Yes, we have alot of nuclear weapons... but look at the records of the others holding weapons.
Is that a risk your willing to take? Are you willing to be charboiled because we aren't allowing other countries to blah blah blah?

They are defending themselves.
We may appear to be school yard bullies.
But we're more like the d*ck head teacher on the play ground KEEPING the REAL bullies from stirring the pot.

If that makes any sense to you. You seem pretty retarded so it should.

The issue is that America is not an aggressive country. In the past Iran has threatened to wipe America off the face of the earth. North Korea has also been aggressive against the South. Its an issue of power being in the right hands.

All countries are not morally equivalent. If North Korea has nuclear weapons we need to keep any eye on them. They have nothing to lose. Quit thinking the U.S. is the enemy. If the world truly wanted to live in peace we would be first in line.

It is right that America is telling North Korea to stop testing because North Korea wants to destroy american and south korea. also other countries that they do not like. North Korea was testing there nuclear weapons at the US and Japan. They want to destroy America. We aew not trying to destroy any countries with are nuclear weapons.

The reason why we don't want them having them is because they have a history of being very unstable countries, who might try anything to get what they want.

Your opinion assumes that every country is equal to every other country and that is just not so.

Go live there for a month and come back and I will bet you will have changed your mind.

Wack job leaders of these countries is WHY we don't want them to have nukes. All this talk about their defense is B. S. when the real reason they want them is for intimidation & offensive action.

Hey if you want to die in the hands of those psychos go ahead, I rather kick their *** and take their weapons than give them a chance to use them on us.
