i think he is trying to tell you that he does like you, and is just trying to make sure you are comfortable around him. go out with the guy!

Well, a guy told me that but I asked him out and he said that he didn't see anything between us. What a jerk right?
The only way to find out is to just be direst so you don't waste your time on someone that doesn't feel the same way as you do

Definitely. He probably just doesn't want to ask you out because he may not know if you like him back. So ask him out if you like him.

he probably really likes you b/c he wouldnt compliment u if he didnt or he might be leading you on have a friend ask him whether he likes you or not
