Some of the breeders are offering to sell some of their dogs, but I really don't want to bother them if the dogs cost several thousand dollars. I have owned several purebred dogs, just not a rare breed.

Click on the 2nd or 3rd link. I've been looking for 20 minutes and I couldn't find anything on how much they would cost. But you can always e-mail one of the two breeders to ask.

I never heard of the breed until I googled it, but its very beautiful! it reminds me of a pharoh hound.

Good luck!

Cirneco dell'Etna are not common anywhere in the world so I would not expect breedable stock to be cheap.
If you just want a pet have you considered getting a retired brood?
If you plan to breed you'll just have to invest.
Nice little dogs.
