Haha at first look at my user name. I'm in love and absolutely fixated on New York City. Its been all I can think about for the last four months and counting. I'm from a boring suburb of Detroit and NYC offers so much more than Detroit could ever offer. I've never been, I'm planning a trip for August. It'll be great to be de-virginized of NYC the first time I go. I've turned my obsession to work, because I've just completed a city profile of NYC for my college newspaper as a place for our graduates to move to out of Michigan. It's been my all time favorite story to write and it will be my first cover story. I also plan on moving there after I graduate to pursue a career in journalism. There's five more months until I go, and I don't think my obsession will dwindle down. I study maps, read New York Mag, New York Post and research the city every day.

I am sooooo in love with NYC. I live in small town, NC - but would LOVE to live in the city. NYC is such an exciting place to be. There are so many different things to see and do. I love Rockefeller Plaza. I love the walk up 5th ave to Central Park. I love how you can be in the city, then disappear into the park and feel like you're in a different world! I love the view from the top of the Empire State Building. I love the view from that walkway in Brooklyn - where it seems you can reach out and grab the city in front of you. I love the electricity of NYC - you can FEEL the excitement!!!

Yes!!! I am so in love with New York but I don't even live there!! One day I will though! It seems like New York is the core of everything fun lol!! Broadway, good restaraunts, famous brand name stores, some really cheap stores that have good brand name stuff(in the boroughs of NYC lol), all different kinds of people (different races, religions), famous people, just everything!! AHHH! I live in Worcester,MA which is a big city, but no one really knows about it who doesnt live in MA, and being downtown is NOTHING like being in Manhattan! Theres only like a few people walking around! And we hardly have any of the good stores and restaraunts that NYC has. aahh!!! lol. I feel your pain though =)

wow I love NYC, don't live there (I live in the UK), but I went on a school trip about 4 years ago and would love to go again, maybe to live there someday as well. I loved everything about it: the people, the food, the bright lights everywhere (times square is incredible at night!), but the real reason I went was for the shopping!! And I wasn't disappointed, we went to Macys, Barneys, and loads of amazing little shops - my favourite area was soho - i think thats it anyway.
I fell in love with Central park...so gorgeous. I think I loved just about everything in new york.... :)

I MISS NYC! I used to live on LI--which I can take or leave--but moved down to Florida for the lower cost of living. I miss NYC so much. I miss my Grandma's neighborhood in Queens, where we lived within walking distance of some of the greatest shops on Jamaica Ave. I miss Broadway, The Museum of Natural History, Chinatown. I miss Central Park and FAO Schwarz. I miss walking miles to find the best bookstores and comic shops in Manhattan. I miss Christmas at Rockefeller Center. I miss seeing the snow on Fifth Ave and how pretty it looks...
(sigh)
...I miss REAL pizza and REAL bagels and REAL diners!
I'm going to have to move back someday.

look into Queens. This city no longer a place you decide on for to go with no plan nevertheless, because it gets very high priced, and you will choose sturdy artwork as quickly as you get right here besides to the money it takes to get settled. some places require you to pay a pair months lease beforehand. i think of you may desire to get greater responsive to the city in the previous you progression right here. attempt vacationing some greater.

I love Coney Island, Brooklyn!! The people are so real, they shoot straight from the hip, and I admire that. I love how the neighborhoods are so diverse, one block is Orthodox Jewish, another is Puerto Rican!! I love shopping in Flatbush.
