In the beginning, my mom helped me and I used a lot of hand me downs from other family members. Then I slowly replaced everything by myself.

The best place to get furniture when you are just starting out is your local Goodwills, Salvation Army and Thrift stores you can find lots of nice stuff that people have gotten rid of. Like my grandma use to say...someone elses junk can be your treasure...Good Luck....

If you're on a tight budget, I would suggest a second hand store. A lot of times they have great stuff that's really cheap. Check out ebay too. Just watch for sellers that live close to you, so you don't have to pay shipping. or check the classified of your local paper.

Unless you have money to buy new, cool stuff, try consignment shops and second hand furniture stores. Treasures are always waiting to be found.
