I have looked at a few websites and some of the information is not the same. Can anyone tell me how he is viewed in Mexico, Germany, and Ireland?

Santa is not quite the same in Mexico. The kids do not make such a big deal out of santa as the do the 3 kings or 3 wise men. Santa does come, but he just brings a gift or 2. The other gifts come from family. Then on Jan. 6th the 3 wise men come and leave candy and small gifts in the childrens shoes.

In Germany, its the christkind on Weihnachten, which does not ressemble Santa Claus in any way.
However, Santa has a certain ressemblance to Nikolaus, who brings small presents on St. Nicholas day, Dec. 6th.
