When somebody upload a video to youtube they usually first edit it (cut parts, add music, etc)

Microsoft Movie Maker is a common tool among youtubers. It is simple to use, and has a lot of features you may have seen such as cutting,trapositions,effects, and music. Another tool for those slightly more advanced and willing to spend money is Sony Vegas. There are a plethora of other tools,but those are the one best put together in my opinion.

If you can, go for Ulead Media Studio 10 or older version, it is the most popular video editing tool. It has very simple interface and very easy to use. U will love it...

I use Sonic Vegas Foundry. It does the job quite well with lots of transitions, effects, and rendering formats. I personally have used it on all of my videos.
