what is watercress?

watercress is a plant that grows in clean water and often eaten raw... it taste pretty good, kind of sweet with a hint of pepperyness (if that's a real word). Closest I can describe it is freshly washed spinach (watercress is juicier than spinach) with a touch of spiciness.
