I don't think you can spoil a niece, but you can give her false ideas of how easy it is to get money for things.
40 at Christmas in one thing, but not too often,
Something you might do to teach her to learn how to handle money is give her a few dollars a week and tell her it is up to her how it will be used, And remind het that it must pay for gifts to friends also. Help her open a bank account.

I don't think you necessarily spoil her, but at 9 years old she certainly didn't need to give her best friend a 40 dollar present. You love your neice and you do nice things for her. Nothing wrong with that. Just be sure that you don't do things for her that her parents have already said no to.

spoiling your neice is harmless!!!
Its fun actually!
that just means you are her best aunt ever!!
Just dont go crazy with giving her things when she gets a bit older. If it was me, i would try to teach her responcibilty. make her work for her money! have her clean your car out or come over for the weekend and do the dishes and clean up your house! it will teach her that everything is not free in this world! and she will thank you later in life!

If she's appriciative of what your giving her and your thoughts behind them then no. But if it seems like the only way she thinks of you is as the auntie who gives her presents and money then..maybee.
It seems like you care about her alot. And you sound like an awsome aunt but...shes not going to appriciate you as a person and see how much you care about her if thats the only way you interact with her
hope this helps, theres always time to change things around, so don't give up

No I don't think you spoil your niece. I also buy my nephews alot of stuff. Their parents can't afford to buy them really great stuff so I pick up the slack. I pay for their private school and buy them clothes and stuff. They're my only nephews so I feel compelled to buy them things that my brother can't afford. I think that is what you do for your niece too.

She alredy has a boyfriend? Ummm...I think you are spoiling her but I mean if she's a good kid, and the parents don't care then maybe it's not so bad. I guess I'm only judging from those 3 things you bought though.

well a little I think but you'll probably know when she starts asking you for money and expects gifts. Remember the best things in life are free!
