ok this has to be said. If you think abortion is murder u r so damn wrong. It is not murder as the feotus is not fully formed and would have no chance to survive outside the mothers womb. My sister was gang raped at 16 and she fell pregnant. So is it now wrong that she aborted or should she of gone full term and lived with the horror of having a rape baby that she was too young to have? And y should she of suffered for the rest of her life for something she could not control??? That baby would of had no chance in life if she had kept it. and adoption was not an option because that baby was not made the way it should be. she did not want a baby growing inside her that she did not want and that she did not plan.U make me sick with you remarks on how abortion is murder. Open up your mind and stop with the narrowminded BULL*%$T!!!!!!!!

Bindi, don't let narrow minded people get you down, they all come on with that better than thou attitude, don't let it get to you What you sister had to go through at such a young age, no matter the age, it was horrific. I hope that they caught the losers that did that to her. It was her choice, and she was right, how could you live with a innocent child that was brought into this world through such horrible actions, every time your sister would look at the child she wood be reminded of what took place. It's not like you sister was just laying around with different men and not using birth control. A child should be created with love between two consenting adults. And yes your are right, the child had not formed yet, but you know how people can be so judgmental, they don't even have a clue as to what your sister went through. I wish you and your sister the best of luck!!!

Actually, I think you are the one being narrow-minded here. Are you aware that before most women know they are pregnant (just three weeks after conception), their baby's heart is already beating? Virtually no surgical abortions are committed before 6 weeks, at which point the baby has recordable brain waves and tiny fingers. The average age of an aborted baby in America is 10 weeks. At just 8 weeks, the child IS fully-formed, with all her organs functioning. She can suck her thumb, and if her palm is pricked, she will pull her hand away.

It is a simple biological fact that every abortion kills an innocent human being. You are in denial if you do not recognize this. If you are open-minded, take a look:

I'm sorry that your sister was raped, but that does not excuse killing an innocent baby. Do you think the child was less worthy of life than you because of the circumstances of her conception? Would you kill a newborn because her father was a rapist? Do you think innocent people should be punished for the crimes of their family members? When your sister aborted her baby, SHE became the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim. Rape is bad; murder is worse.

Even newborns cannot survive without their mothers. Left alone, they will die. That doesn't mean anyone has the right to kill them.

Many couples would have been happy to adopt your sister's baby and would have loved and cherished her. The rape was NOT the baby's fault and the baby would have been as beautiful and precious as any other child. Where is your compassion?

Ok, you've made some great points. BUT you've also blown sunshine up your own ass. A) There have been babies that were born before 20 weeks genestation and HAVE LIVED. Most states say you can abort up to 24 weeks. So, that shoots down what you said about it not being fully formed and unable to survive. B) I dont think your sister should have to live with a child that she didnt want becuase she was raped, i know i wouldnt. BUT what you said was adoption was out of the question becuase the child wasnt made in the right way. So, what exactly is the right way? Two people in love? Two people in hate? Whatever way a child is made it doesnt know, therefore putting the child up for adoption shouldnt make a difference. Its not like the child will become a killer becuase it was concived during a rape. NEWS FLASH: The child doesnt know how it was concieved. C) Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, so telling us were narrow minded pigs is like saying what you said is a FACT when its in fact just an OPINION.

How much do you know about the baby growing inside the womb?? How much do you know about how babies are aborted?? Anything?? Well once you have looked into it on both ends then and only then should one be able to voice an opinion. In my opinion "IT IS MURDER!" I am a very open minded person and somethings "like swingers" others would say is wrong. I believe it is ok to be a swinger with your husband if you want to spice things up a bit. I feel if you want to be gay then that is your right. So am I wrong...I dont care what others think. If your sister wanted an abortion thats her choice but why are you blowing off about it to complete strangers? Also why didnt she take the morning after pill??? That is to prevent a pregnacy right off the bat. So I think if anyone is narrowminded it is you and that is my opinion too. Oh almost forgot to add that if you dont like hearing our aopinions why post on answers?? Oh wait and just so you know my sister in law had 2 abortions and I still talk to her. I hate that she did it but theres nothing I could do. I will never look at her the same cause the last time she got pregnant she wasnt 19 she was 30 and a couple months from being married. She did it cause she wasnt married yet...dumbest excuse I have ever heard. Anyways thou shall not judge

I'm sorry to inform you, but you are being very narrow minded right now. You are taking a biased view-point and only looking at the victims parts.

When you destroy a fetus you are destroying a life. Even if it isn't a life that could go out on its own...its still life. Destroying the life of something is called murder.

I'm not saying whether abortion is wrong or right, I'm just saying that you need to consider all angles of this problem. If your sister had not had this happen to you, I am willing to bet that you wouldn't have reacted like this. I'm sorry that had to happen, but you don't need to take it out on the pro-life movements.

When I decided what I thought about abortion, I looked at both sides and decided that abortion was wrong. I believe that if you don't want the baby, even if it isn't made the way it should be, should be given a chance in the world. Putting it up for adoption would be a very good idea, someone would love it, even if it had a defect or something.

Try to look at how the Pro-lifers think and don't base everything on experience.

You go girl. Freedom of speech is great, especially when you can vent on the internet and get a lot of people responding and debating quickly.

I'm NOT pro life - most definitely pro-choice, but I respect their opinion. Mostly because the people that are so strongly in that point of view are also the most supportive of mothers to be in difficult situations. And will help out at any cost.

I bet if your sister had decided to keep the child and she lived in South Dakota, she would have had TONS of community support. The same situation in California, and people would have just been pointing her to the social workers office.

It's based on perspective.

Now about those vicious Lifers out there (the ones that shoot doctors), they do have to get a grip.

AND SO DO YOU!!!

Get off your soap box before you head explodes........

what most people (including myself) feel is that abortion is murder..............BUT there are circumstances in which it is an accept able act.....just like killing someone is murder, but if you kill someone in self defense, or someone who murdered your child, that is justifiable.

I doubt that anyone would think what your sister did was murder. I am against abortion, but I 100% agree with what she did. I have a baby. I know that pregnancy is long and labor and delivery are hell. there is NO way a woman should have to endure birthing a rape baby.
BUT........
people who sleep around and have consensual sex, then have an abortion just for the sake of getting rid of the baby.......that is wrong.
maybe YOU need to stop being so narrow minded and see that other people are allowed to have their own opinions.....

I do not know what your problem is but before you start ranting and raging at us stop and think about what you are saying.I am sorry about what happened to your sister but if you did not want any one telling you there opinion then you should have kept your mouth shut and not brought what happened to your sister on answers.I think abortion is murder but this is what i think.some people such as yourself think that it is okay that is your opinion. No a baby that is tiny has no chance at surviving on the outside of the womb that is why it is on the inside maybe you need to open your mind up and think first. And yes there is always option you people that choose to ignore that abortion is in fact murder make all of us that see the truth sick to our stomachs with your little lame excuses.GROW UP AND FACE REALITY.

You are one stupid ass *****. Abortion is murder and i do not condone it however with you i think your mother would have been doing society a favor. Open your mind a little. At 5 weeks the fetus has a heart beat. What gives anyone other then God the right to stop a beating heart? I am guessing if your sister was gang raped that was her was her initiation to join the gang as i do not think that a bunch of random men just jumped her. Adoption is always a choice it doesn't matter how the baby was conceived to the family would have adopted the child and loved it. You asked why your sister should suffer forever for something she could not control. Do the think the baby could control that she was raped? NO! Do you think the baby wanted to die? NO! So someone raped her and commited a crime. Do you know that if a pregnant women is hit in a car accident and dies that is two counts of murder, one for the child and one for the mother. Do you know why, because they are two different souls and two different body's. Your sister was raped and I'm sorry for that. However, this child WAS murdered and I also feel sorry for it. You have a lot of growing up to do.

Blah blah blah. Most of us do NOT care what your opinion is. Everyone has their own beliefs. It's not about being narrow-minded, it's about having morals. Some people think it's wrong to have sex outside of marriage. I respect those people for their decision. I however don't call them narrow-minded pigs because I have different beliefs than they do. Get real. This is America, not Iraq. We are allowed to have our own beliefs. Oh, as for the "rape baby," scenario, my aunt gave birth to a rape baby 42 years ago. Still doesn't change my mind about abortion.
