What are my chances of finding a virgin or celebate girlfriend?

Question

Preferably in the 25-29 age bracket(I'm 26), attractive, and who like myself would wish to remain celebate until we got married?

Am I wasting my time, or should I start going to church?

PS: By attractive, I mean Rachael Bilson (Summer Roberts) from the OC attractive.

Thanks for the answers so far but I must clarify that the girlfriend doesn't have to be a virgin, but can remain celebate until we are married. Therefore, I would be happy with a non-virgin attractive girlfriend if she can remain celebate until married.

1) According to National Center for Health Statistics, less than 3% of women that age are virgins.

2) Although there are no hard statistics available on the population frequency of extremely attractive women, I think we can safely say that the type of beauty you are talking about here would fall well above the second standard deviation in the normal distribution. Let's be generous and call it 0.5%

3) If we ignore for the moment obvious correlation between physical attractiveness and sexual activity, the simple product of these two probabilities is ~0.15%, or about 3 in 200,000.

4) Purely as a guess, let's assume that it's about 20 times more likely that someone with Rachael Bilson's looks has already had sex by that age than the average member of the population. (Go ahead and plug in your own number: I think it's probably a lot higher than that: if a woman was saving herself for marriage, if she was that attractive there would be hugely more competition in the male population to marry her, and she would probably get married early and thus not be a virgin) But using 20:1, our final number then drops to approx 3 in 4,000,000

5) Even if you were to meet this woman, what makes you think she would marry YOU? After all, she has waited this long, against considerable pressure. Are you particularly handsome, rich or talented? Probably not, or you would just go chase after Rachel Bilson in person.

Short answer: You are wasting your time.

I have two grands age 19 and 20. One is a virgin and one isn't. I'm not sure about the 16 year old. I'm sure about the 7, 4 and 2 year olds. As they age, your odds go down. Good Luck and God Bless
