Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it more of a homemade feeling.

depends on the type of person ur bf is. when fiance and i first started dating i noticed that he didnt have a watch. and whenever i would ask him what time it is, he would say my watch is broken, sorry baby. he wore a rubberband on his left hand all the time to fill the gap. i bought him an inexpensive watch that had a blue face (his favorite color). i also bought him a small chessecake (which is his favorite cake) because he said he hadn't eaten a chessecake in years. he loved it. he really appreciated it. it should him that i listened and paided attention to him. the cost of everything was less than $20. do something that comes from the heart that shows him you care. u can buy him a teddy bear that has lots of hearts. i bought my bf a dog for valentines day that had a red tie on. my bf likes dogs. think outside the box. get something that represents something else. pay close attention to him and the things he says. he may just drop you a hint of what he wants.

well from your description of him it's not very easy to think of something very creative or good. but i would just say to think about all you know about him and show him in what you get him.. get him something really thoughtful.. something maybe that has to do with an inside joke you two share.. get him something that shows him how much you know him and love him and that is Thoughtful.. that Only You can get him. that's what i would suggest. also i would take him on a date.. maybe to the same place that you guys went on your very first date to.. and then do something special also. you have to decide, not us, it would be better if it came from your heart.
