I have not studied Wicca in a while, but I think the moon is supposed to help with love and female powers; doing it when eclipsed may be removing that connection. During a solar eclipse, however, may be interesting.
This may be a good time for spells dealing with getting rid of things or removing negative influences.

Regardless, it isn't fair to do that to people! If you just want to meet the person, spend some time together and see if there might be something there, I suppose you could do worse. That sort of thing can back fire, I suggest you think of another approach. Very bad Karma sweety.
I have a lot of respect for my ancestors and their ways. I am all for keeping the good stuff, but I think this is to easy to be healthy or worthy of two people. It isn't real love and it will only ever be an imitation.
Working on yourself to grow and bloom to your fullest with or without a partner, now that, that is of the good and sacred magic of creation! Priceless...

Did you know that the early Bards I believe it was, they prophesized the coming of Jesus as a good thing. Well actually, there were two ways it could go depending on if he died or lived. But they welcomed him!as a being of light! But he died, and there was nothing written down about him for three hundred years. Then, it was scribes that took down oral information and they made some of it up if it made for a good parable. The bible is a group of small individual texts created at various times and they are not a direct line to the appostles! They teach this stuff in seminary schools I kid you not!
Several million people in Europe were murdered over a three hundred year period because of ignorant people like our first question answerer. The church, commited genocide against women during that time! Massive genocide!They also put to death an entire village in France.
Many children and men died as well.
People were trained on how to get a whitch to confess. This stuff is unbelievable but true. The art of manuipulation reined in the church in those days. ( Some would say it still does...)They wiped out every medicine person and gifted or unusual individual they found. We lost some of our greatest knowledge and wisdom so that the church could hold authority over the people. There is a wealth of information on this and it makes me sick to think of all the innocent people that suffered and died because of ignorance and the quest to hold power in the name of God!
Love and compassion are the true teachings of the devine not cruel ignorant behavior.

Sorry I am just not a big believer in doing love spells at all.. it's manipulation at best, and at worst, it'll backfire and you'll regret you ever did it.
Why not just work on being the loveliest you possible and that'll attract the right kind of person to your life?
