I am talking to my girl friend on the phone, she does all the talking?

she does all the talking and i bore her..? help what things can i talk about with her?

talk about your relationship. talk about where you think it could head. talk about things you might do tomorrow. talk about a movie you want to see or have already seen. talk about music. talk about your future goals. talk about work or school. tell her about your family. a funny story that happened between them or your friends. talk about food and resturants. talk about tv shows that are playing or will be playing soon. talk about something that you are planning to do. Make a date. Tell her you want to get in her mind and start asking her a bunch of questions about herself, but tell her she has three minutes to answer each question in order to keep her from talking so much. ask about her family, her life, her future goals, movies, etc.

It's a fact that women use about four times as many words in a day as men, so long as you're within reasonable measure of that ratio, you're about normal. If she likes to do the talking and your talking bores here, then why talk more.

But here's a trick - women talk more about feelings and relationships, men talk more about objects and events. And honestly, thinking up stuff beforehand to talk to your girl about doesn't really work because you won't be engaging her. You can bring up a subject, but unless she responds to it it's not engaging her.

You can naturally participate more by asking her questions about what she's telling you. A real conversation is dynamic, each person speaks and responds to what the other person is saying. If you each just recited lines you thought of earlier, before even getting on the phone, you aren't really having a conversation, you're just talking 'at' each other.

If you really get stuck during a conversation, you can cite the statistic I gave you above about the 4 to 1 word ratio - then tell her you've run out of words for the day.

Well if she does all the taking and you listen you should know what she likes to talk about. But if I were you I'd talk about what I want to talk about (not all the time) and if she thought it was boring you should brake up because she does all the talking and you are going to get so bored hope I could help.

let her yammer on and pretend like you're listening. it's not that you WANT to be rude and uncaring, it's just that you're not terribly interested in EVERY SINGLE THING she says. But just be very polite and courteous and at least sound sincere. You DON'T have to talk much. Some chicks like quiet guys.

get to know her better , get to know her music interests..does she love animals, does she have any pets...what are their names? what is her fav. color? what does she like to do for fun? what movies has she seen lately? does she get away during the summer? where has she been that's the farthest from her home....just get to know her and her interests..and share things about YOU so she can get to know your likes and dislikes also* :)
