He is being detained /held by Michael the archangel til it is time for him to come here and pretend he is Jesus for five months. Exactly where i don't think is significant. It is only described as a pit.

According to Isaiah 14, he's head of the church of Babylon. People will scoff at him when the Messiah knocks him off his pedestal. If the Messiah is with us today, and the churches didn't accept it for some reason, then it would be easy to see that "Satan" or "Lucifer" is the head of the church. That would probably be the current Pope, because most Christian religions came from the Catholic Church.

That prophecy will be understood and fulfilled when people of the church realize that one of their BIG prophecies is made up. Things will get very rough for people on earth, and when Jesus fails to materialize, they will realize that they have all been misled. That is when Isaiah 14 will be realized and fulfilled.

Coming in the near future.

Regards,

Chris

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Satan is the god of this world.

Those of The True Christian Faith know that satan is here on earth... He can only be in one place at a time so he moves about... he is in command of the forces of evil... made up of those angels who followed him in rebelling against God, and the demons which tradition says satan made in his attempt to duplicate God's creation...

According to revelation 12:12 Satan is right here on earth, influencing and misleading mankind.

Jesus Christ referred to him as being “the ruler of the world,” the one whom mankind in general obeys by heeding his urgings to ignore God’s requirements. (John 14:30; Eph. 2:2) The Bible also calls him “the god of this system of things,” who is honored by the religious practices of people who adhere to this system of things.—2 Cor. 4:4; 1 Cor. 10:20.

No wonder that 1 John 5:19 says: “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”

Revelation 12: 7-9, & 12 .And war broke out in heaven: Mi´cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled 8 but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. 9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.
12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”

So it seems that he is in the very vicinity of the earth.

Well, I'm not Christian, but I believe that evil is everywhere. Just like good is everywhere. Satan is not one being, just like God is not one being. In order to have light there must be dark. In order to have female you must have male and in order to have good you must have evil. Its the balance that makes the spiritual world work.

An evangelist once made the statement.

If you go looking for satan, be certain he will find you.

2nd Cor 11v
13For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Better to look for JESUS.

John 14v
6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Where ever he wishes to be. He goes to and fro in the world and also accuses men before God.He and his angels are woven into the fabric of all that is this world. You can not turn in any direction and not see him.
